The Rotary Club of Sorrento would not have been able to support all the worthwhile causes over the years without the help of our many supporters, for which we are very grateful.
In the last financial year, we have supported the following educational institutions: Sorrento Primary School, St Joseph’s Primary School, Sorrento Kinder, Rosebud Secondary College, Dromana Secondary College, The Caroline Chisholm Foundation and the REACH Siem Riep, Cambodia, as well as running a musical enrichment program for primary school children on the Peninsula.
We supported many disadvantaged groups such as the Southern Peninsula Community Support, Team Sports for All, Sailability at Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron, Food for All and Ranch 2.0 in Mornington, as well as a pharmacy program for the disadvantaged and a barbecue for the homeless.
We painted a Blue Tree at the David McFarlane Reserve in Sorrento for mental health awareness. We donated to Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children (ROMAC), the Health Touch Foundation in Kenya enabling them to support remote communities with healthcare and our Rotary Polio Plus program.
Locally, we supported the Portsea Surf Club, The Women’s Spirit program and the local Christmas Carols.
Because of our supporters we were able to send disaster relief funds to the Western Drought Relief, the NSW Flood Relief and the Victorian Bush Fires – State Schools Relief programs.
